Gerasimov discussed with his British colleague the risk of Kyiv using a "dirty bomb"

“During the conversation, discussions continued with the British side on the situation related to the possible use of a “dirty bomb” by Ukraine,” the statement says.

The day before, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu had telephone conversations with colleagues from Turkey and France, Britain and the United States.

He stressed the concern about a possible provocation by Kyiv with the use of a "dirty bomb".

The head of the RKhBZ Troops, Igor Kirillov, said that Kyiv could disguise the detonation of a “dirty bomb” as an abnormal operation of a Russian low-yield nuclear weapon.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that Russia has information about the preparation of a provocation by Kyiv, there are serious reasons to believe that this is not an empty suspicion.
